Taylor Swift has played Wembley more times than 14 Premier League teams

Slightly embarrassing for some clubs

Wembley stadium might be the home of football but Taylor Swift has played there more times than most Premier League clubs.

Her final date of the European leg of the Eras tour is scheduled for tomorrow night and will mark the 11th time she has played under the Wembley arch.

Data released by Bonuscodebets.co.uk shows that only the ‘Big Six’ have played there more times than the American songstress.

There’s even a ‘Blank Space’ in Tottenham’s record too. If you remove the ‘home matches’ they played at Wembley whilst they were waiting for their own stadium to be rebuilt, they’ve only played there eight times, three less than Swift.

That leaves Chelsea (33), Manchester City (30), Manchester United (26), Arsenal (18) and Liverpool (14) who know ‘All Too Well’ the joy of playing at Wembley as they have played there more times than the 34-year-old.

Swift’s prolific Wembley record includes two separate tours and an appearance at Capital’s Summertime Ball.

That is more impressive than major Premier League sides including Aston Villa (7 appearances), Leicester City and Southampton (both 6).

A spokesperson for BonusCodeBets.co.uk said: “Taylor Swift’s impressive world domination has now extended into football, with her playing at Wembley more often than most teams in England. With big names like Aston Villa and Leicester City appearing at the national stadium less often than a pop star, fans might start to demand more from their team’s on pitch performances.”

But Swift should not be seen as the ‘Anti-Hero’, if clubs can ‘Shake It Off’ and perform better on the pitch, they too could have a ‘Love Story’ at the home of English football.

Before she says ‘So Long, London’, Swift will entertain an estimated 92,500 people on the final night of the European leg of her record breaking Eras tour.

During her time in the UK, which saw her visit Edinburgh, Liverpool and Cardiff as well as London, the ‘I Knew You Were Trouble’ singer is estimated to have boosted the economy by £1bn.

She has also donated to food banks in every city she has visited on tour.
