He took to social media to reassure fans

Slipknot star, Sid Wilson has suffered serious injuries after ‘setting himself on fire’.

In a video, his partner, Kelly Osbourne, the daughter of Sharon and Ozzy Osbourne explained what happened.

She said: “This is why you don’t f*** with burn piles. He literally set himself on fire, exploded everything.”

Wilson took to social media to tell fans he was okay from his hospital bed after he was involved in an ‘explosion’.

The 47-year-old is pictured in a video clip talking as the phone shakes in his hand.

In the five-minute-long recording he can be heard describing the extent of his injuries telling fans that he is ‘burned everywhere’.

He said: “Hi everybody, I had an explosion in my face, I’m okay, I’m going to be okay. But I did have some serious burns to my face and my arms.

“I’m singed everywhere, my eyebrows are singed, my mouth has blistered, my arms pretty bad, both my arms.”

He tells Slipknot fans that he will continue with the tour as soon as he is fit and able to do so.

He reassures viewers: “I’m going to be all right, you guys. I don’t care what it takes, I will see you on tour.”

Throughout the recording, medical staff can be seen ‘working’ on him and he even had an X-ray to check for smoke inhalation while he continued to talk on his phone.

A second video which is 15 minutes long, shows Wilson in the back of an emergency vehicle wearing black glasses and what looks like Vaseline covering his face where the burns are.

His band also issued a statement on social media saying: “Our brother Sid Wilson was in an accident today and sustained burns across his body.

“He’s recovering with his family and will still join us on stage at Rocklahoma next weekend.

“He thanks everyone for the well wishes and will see you all soon.”

Slipknot’s world tour, Here Comes the Pain, gets underway on September 1 in Oklahoma and will conclude in June next year in Austria.
