A six foot tall Buddy the Elf robot has been branded 'the stuff of nightmares' by shoppers.
The robot is on sale for $199 (£156) from Home Depot in the US and stands a whooping 6ft 5inches tall.
Although the bot does everything it says it will, like speak some of Will Ferrells classic lines from the movie, its appearance have left shoppers calling it 'scarier than a Halloween outfit'.
The item, which is new for this year, moves its body from side to side, and the mouth moves up and down as it delivers some classics.
'Buddy' speaks lines such as 'cotton-headed ninny muggings' lines, and asks 'Hey, what’s your name? My name’s Buddy'.
Made by the Gemmy Industries, the figure is available on the Home Depot website which describes the product as 'easy storage' due to its collapsing feature, further stating it 'adds the right holiday touch to your indoor space'.
Videos of the Christmas decoration both in store, and being unboxed have been met with major internet critique.
Many have shared how scary the huge moving doll looks and how the face fails to resemble Will Ferrell.
One person stated: "Cmon now, it’s 2024, we had better animatronics in the 80’s."
While another branded it 'nightmare fuel'.
The 2003 hit 'Elf' has become a Christmas classic.
Will Ferrell played 'Buddy', a human raised as an elf in Santa’s workshop who makes a trip to New York City to meet his biological father, played by the late James Caan.
