Romelu Lukaku was the victim of several racially abusive messages moments after Inter's Champions League final defeat against Manchester City.
Lukaku came on as a second half substitute and missed two golden opportunities and was in the wrong place at the wrong time as Federico Dimarco's header caught the bottom of his heel.
Inter were made to rue their missed chances as Rodri's second half strike ensured Pep Guardiola's side would win the Champions League for the first time in their history and become the first English side since Manchester United in 1999 to complete the treble.
However the game was marred at full time as comments on some of Lukaku's previous Instagram posts were filled with racially insensitive comments in reference to his performance during the game.
The Belgian international is expected to return to Chelsea following the end of his loan spell in the summer, where the next steps for his future will be analysed.
Mauricio Pochettino's arrival at Stamford Bridge may mean that the forward could be given a lifeline to revive his career in west London, however the likelihood is that he may be sold as part of a mass clearout.
It's unclear if Inter have plans to make Lukaku's move a permanent one, however
