Police in London have issued an appeal for the whereabouts of rapper Wiley after he failed to show up at court six months ago.

A warrant was issued for the 43-year-old musician’s arrest in September after he failed to turn up to court to face allegations of burglary and assault by beating charges.

On Wednesday, police issued a fresh appeal for information on Wiley’s – real name Richard Cowie – whereabouts.

In a tweet, Newham police said: “Can you help? We would like to speak with Richard Cowie for failing to appear at Snaresbrook Crown Court.”

According to the police, his last known location was Tower Hamlets.

He had been due to appear at Snaresbrook Crown Court for burglary and assault by beating charges, after he allegedly broke into the home of former kickboxer Ali Jacko on August 28, 2021.

The rapper had been using Jacko’s studio before the pandemic, Sky News reports.

He is accused of illegally entering the property in Forest Gate, east London, before smashing plates and assaulting Jacko.

Anyone with information should call 07747 209885, or can tweet @METCC quoting his name. Alternatively, you can call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.

The MailOnline reports that the rapper released a video on a new Instagram account in which he asks for work and can be seen with friends eating food.

In a video posted on April 18, he is heard saying: “There’s never no excuse, no excuses trust me. Wherever you are bruv, get it done.

“Send me some work if you’ve got anything for me to do.”

The rapper was banned from a number of social media platforms in July 2020 when he went on a vile anti-Semitic tirade, in which he compared the Jewish community to the Ku Klux Klan and wrote: “I don’t care about Hitler, I care about black people.”
