Putin’s general ‘shot in head’ as Moscow starts to have enough of the war on Ukraine

Russian general linked in Kyiv hospital strikes shot in ambush

The shooter is said to have ambushed the general near a private residence in the town of Probudzhenie, Saratov Oblast.

The suspect, who shot twice at the general, has not yet been apprehended. 

22nd Heavy Bomber Aviation Division Commander of the Russian army, Nikolai Varpakhovich, is said to be in critical condition after the attack. 

Varpakhovich has been heavily linked to Russia’s nuclear artillery, often regarded as the chief of Putin’s bombs.

The shooter’s actions come without explanations despite the rising insurrection in the country as many are starting to feel the effects of the war, four years in. 

Lev Schlosberg, the 63 year-old Anti-War politician from the Yabloko party, was recently convicted for the spreading of misinformation.

This came after the politician criticised Putin’s war in Ukraine.

“The very concept of a crime, understood as an act that poses a genuine danger to society, has been distorted in this country,” he said.

“Under these new laws, crimes now include the free expression of peaceful convictions, standing up for human dignity, protesting against violence, refusing to accept lies, and showing compassion, empathy and mercy towards others.

“Virtue is persecuted, while vice is encouraged and exalted."

Ukraine has recently been targeting Russia’s energy infrastructures in response to the heavy strikes targeted on Ukrainian cities, killing hundreds of civilians in the making.
