Let’s be honest, the latest news from North Korea doesn’t sound too great.
With the country said to be preparing another nuclear test, the US Navy have moved a strike group within range of the Korean peninsula. Speaking at a recent military parade (North Koreans bloody love a good military parade) Choe Ryong-hae, believed to be the country’s second most powerful official, didn’t mince his words…
“We’re prepared to respond to an all-out war with an all-out war. We are ready to hit back with nuclear attacks of our own style against any nuclear attacks.”
Lovely stuff, Choe. Happy Easter to you, too.
So, with the end of the world potentially imminent, thank God football fans were able to see the funny side of it all, when Tottenham’s misfiring striker Vincent Janssen scored his first goal from open play for the club.
Two minutes into stoppage time, with Spurs already three up against Bournemouth, a corner fell to the Dutchman, who fired home at the second attempt, prompting lots of light-hearted comments about how this was the precursor to humankind being wiped from the nuclear blast-scorched face of the planet…
