And yes, it was caught on camera

A police officer in America has been presented with a rather unique award after surviving a squirrel attack... and there's even footage of it doing the rounds online. David Wheatley, a sheriff deputy in Indiana, was suddenly attacked by a squirrel in a trailer park. The creature clung to his back and caught the officer completely off-guard, WAVE reports. Unfortunately for Wheatley, the whole thing was caught on camera and shared on Sheriff Nick Smith's Facebook page. https://www.facebook.com/watch/?v=3122428711377937 Following the incident, Wheatley was commended for his courage and received a squirrel-shaped trophy for his bravery. He also got a martial arts certificate for “squirrel taekwondo.” “For his bravery and dedication!” Smith wrote in a caption on Facebook. Related links:
