A police officer in America has been presented with a rather unique award after surviving a squirrel attack... and there's even footage of it doing the rounds online.
David Wheatley, a sheriff deputy in Indiana, was suddenly attacked by a squirrel in a trailer park. The creature clung to his back and caught the officer completely off-guard, WAVE reports.
Unfortunately for Wheatley, the whole thing was caught on camera and shared on Sheriff Nick Smith's Facebook page.

Following the incident, Wheatley was commended for his courage and received a squirrel-shaped trophy for his bravery.
He also got a martial arts certificate for “squirrel taekwondo.”
“For his bravery and dedication!” Smith wrote in a caption on Facebook.
