In a follow up tweet, Moore spoke about how the LAPD and the community gathered together to pay tribute.
He said: "Today tens of thousands gathered in tribute to Nipsey Hussle. LAPD showed the world that the men and women of this Department are compassionate and without peer. They worked seamlessly with our community advocates to keep the peace. I'm grateful."
Hussle, who's real name is Ermias Ashgedom, was shot and killed on 31 March in the parking lot of his own shop, Marathon Clothing on West Slauson Avenue, in south Los Angeles.
An estimated 21,000 people showed up to the Staples Centre in LA to pay respect to him on Thursday.
Jay Z, who Nipsey worked with through his Roc Nation label, attended the memorial service at the Staples Center along with Beyonce, Snoop Dogg, Meek Mill and Diddy.
