A missing British girl who vanished during a family holiday in Japan has been found safe after a search lasting more than two days.
Carmelita Lakdesha Paul, 12, turned up unharmed at a police phone box in Yokohama at around 8pm on Saturday, local police said.
She has since been taken into protective custody ahead of a reunion with her family.
Carmelita had arrived in Tokyo on 21 July for a sightseeing trip with her parents and older brother.
Police said she left the family’s rental accommodation in the Kamata district alone on the morning of 13 August.
Emergency services were contacted at around 9.30am on 14 August after her family woke to find her gone, sparking a major search.
She was later captured on CCTV walking in Kamata that morning, the Mirror reported.

The 12-year-old had left her phone at the accommodation, was not carrying her passport and is thought to have had no more than a few thousand yen (around £70) on her.
Officers believe she boarded a train at Kamata Station and travelled 20 minutes south to Yokohama Station, but were unable to trace her movements beyond that point.
The schoolgirl told officers she had set off to visit a famous anime location, and is reported to have spent time in internet cafes before beginning to miss her parents, according to Japan Today.
The case follows other searches that have drawn attention in recent weeks, among them four Ugandan athletes reported missing in Scotland after the Commonwealth Games.
