Meghan Markle's dad will not be attending the royal wedding this weekend.

Thomas Markle has said that he will not be walking his daughter down the aisle on Saturday over pictures he had sold of himself to a photo agency. Markle told TMZ that he suffered a heart attack six days ago, but that he discharged himself from hospital so he could travel for the wedding. However, the publication reports that the 73-year-old has decided not to go because he doesn't want to "embarrass" his daughter. The photos depicted Markle apparently preparing for his daughter's wedding this weekend. He said that he wanted the agency to take them so the public would see his image in a different light, but has since admitted that the idea was "stupid and hammy." Meghan and Harry will marry this Saturday, May 12 in St George's Chapel in the grounds of Windsor.
