‘Probably in about four or five generations, no one will be straight anymore’

US Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene believes that straight people are going to go extinct in “about four or five generations”.

Speaking on Facebook during one of her infamous MTG: LIVE podcast episodes on Monday, the controversial right-wing politician began discussing matters surrounding the LGBTQ+ community and went on to suggest that heterosexuality is going to become a thing of the past.

During her 53-minute rant, Greene said: “They [the LGBTQ+ community] just want you to think that all of a sudden the entire population is steadily turning gay or turning trans.

“Probably in about four or five generations, no one will be straight anymore”, she argued, insisting that “everyone will be either gay or trans or non-conforming or whatever the list of 50 or 60 different options there are.”

Safe to say, her hyperbolic, inflammatory comments were largely met with one of two reactions: either laughter or total disregard:

One particular commenter put it best:

The Republican representative for Georgia isn’t a stranger to the odd conspiracy theory or an outlandish and often ill-informed statement – it was only during this same episode that she suggested Bill Gates wants you to eat “fake meat that grows in a peach tree dish [she meant petri dish]”.

And no, we don’t have any idea what she was on about either.

Greene has previously appeared on Alex Jones’ Info Wars podcast, which has now been banned from multiple streaming platforms and has even admitted to being a QAnon believer.
