Marcus Rashford bodybags MP for saying “It’s a parents job to feed their children”

Current leader of the Opposition Marcus Rashford, fresh off a summer of forcing government U-turns has found himself embroiled in another war of words with a Tory MP.

The 22-year-old launched an astonishing broadside at MP Kevin Hollinrake after the parliamentarian implied it was a parent’s job to feed their children, not the job of government.

After being confronted by Rashford, 57-year-old Kevin, who at one time owned a literal castle, simply offered to “debate” the striker on an open forum of his choosing. It was not clear at the time of writing whether Mr. Hollinrake was preparing to argue whether parents cared about their children or just that they simply didn’t deserve government food.

Mr. Hollinrake, who’s been an MP since May 2015, claimed just under the national average wage in second housing allowance last year, while sporting a Gandhi inspired “be the change you want to see in the world” twitter header photo.

The MP was originally bragging about the success of Rishi Sunak’s Eat Out to Help Out scheme in his constituency of Thirsk and Malton before someone asked why Marcus Rashford had to stand up for hungry kids while restaurants were subsidised.

Rashford’s putdown, which has been liked over 200k times, said: “I would urge you to talk to families before tweeting. To this day I haven’t met one parent who hasn’t wanted or felt the responsibility to feed their children.”

So far Rashford has not accepted the invitation of ‘debate me’ guy Kevin, but an anxious nation holds its breath.
