Manchester United are in the market for a new centre-forward and have settled on a three-man shortlist, according to reports.
Erik Ten Hag's team have made Harry Kane their number-one target.
The Red Devils, however, have backup options should they fail to land the Tottenham Hotspur striker.
They also may sign Kane and another centre-forward, according to reports, as Ten Hag needs attacking reinforcements.
Man United are interested in signing Atalanta centre-forward Rasmus Højlund, writes The Times.
The Danish striker, 20, joined Atalanta from Sturm Graz last summer, costing €17m.
In his first season for the Serie A side, Højlund, who is 6ft 3in, scored nine goals in 32 games. He has also scored five goals in four games for Denmark.
Højlund is valued at around €40m by Atalanta.
Meanwhile, Man United have also been linked with a move for Dusan Vlahovic.
The Juventus centre-forward, 23, could be available for a transfer this summer after struggling to settle following his €80m move from Fiorentina in January 2022.
Vlahovic scored 42 goals in 44 games for Fiorentina and became one of the most sought-after forwards in world football. He opted to join Juventus but has failed to replicate that form.
In 62 games, the Serbia striker has scored just 23 goals and could be on the move, according to Football Transfers.
Juventus are currently second in Serie A but may face a points deduction and miss out on Champions League football next season. This could result in Vlahovic leaving the club.
Man United face competition from Chelsea who are also reportedly interested in the striker.
According to ESPN, the Blues are prepared to pay €80m for Vlahovic.
Man United have scored just 52 goals in the Premier League this season - the ninth-best record in front of goal in the division.
Ten Hag's side have scored fewer goals than Fulham and Brentford in the current campaign. Marcus Rashford (16) is their top scorer in the league.
The England forward, who has scored 29 goals in 53 games in total this season, prefers to play as a wide forward.
Anthony Martial and Wout Weghorst are the only recognised centre-forwards currently available to Ten Hag. However, neither has impressed this season.
