Malcolm X’s daughter Malikah Shabazz found dead in her home

She was found unconscious by her daughter on Monday

Malcolm X’s daughter Malikah Shabazz has been found dead in New York aged just 56.

As reported by the likes of CNN, Shabazz was the youngest of the legendary activist’s six daughters. She is thought to have been found lying unconscious in her Brooklyn home by her daughter on Monday November 22.

Bernice King, the youngest daughter of fellow civil rights activist Martin Luther King Jr., who was also assassinated in his endeavours to achieve racial equality, gave her condolences on social media.

I’m deeply saddened by the death of #MalikahShabazz. My heart goes out to her family, the descendants of Dr. Betty Shabazz and Malcolm X.

Dr. Shabazz was pregnant with Malikah and her twin sister, Malaak, when Brother Malcolm was assassinated.
