Local reports claim at least 13 people have been killed in Barcelona terrorism attack
Following the horrible news that a vehicle crashed into pedestrians in the busy tourist area of Las Ramblas in Barcelona, local authorities have confirmed that the incident was indeed an act of terror, and that official terrorist attack protocol has been activated in the area.

Two armed suspects are thought to be 'holed up' in a local bar/restaurant with concerns that it may turn into a potential hostage situation. Meanwhile local reports claim that the death toll following the earlier crash are in double figures.
TV3 report they have "official confirmation" that at least 13 people have been killed, with dozens injured. Local Catalan radio station Cadena Ser also cite police sources claiming the same minimum number of fatalities following the attack.
Police have set up roadblocks around the city amid reports that a second van was involved in the attack and fled the scene.
