Kyle Rittenhouse plans to sue media outlets, politicians, athletes and celebrities

Those already named include The Young Turks and Whoopi Goldberg

Kyle Rittenhouse plans to sue numerous media outlets, politicians, celebrities and even athletes after he claims people need to take accountability for their actions and spreading “lies”.

Speaking to Tucker Carlson on Fox News, the 19-year-old whose high-profile murder case ended in a not guilty verdict on November 19, 2021 – a ruling that sparked massive controversy – said “I don’t want anyone to have to go through what I went through.”

Rittenhouse was just 17-year-old when he shot dead two men during Black Lives Matter protests in Kenosha, Wisconsin on August 25, 2020 using an AR-15 semi-automatic rifle; he also faced attempted murder charges for a third individual.

The teenager has argued self-defence throughout and despite having been acquitted by “a jury of [his] peers”, Rittenhouse states that numerous media outlets and public figures continued to label him a “murderer” and a “white supremacist“.

As you can see in the interview, the Kenosha teen and his team have announced The Media Accountability Project, a fund designed to raise money for those looking to take so-called “liars” to court and “hold the media accountable”.

Detailing his own examples to Carlson, he said that The View presenter and actress Whoopi Goldberg is one of those he intends to take legal action against following her comments after his trial concluded, as well as The Young Turks, an alternative YouTube news outlet.

Rittenhouse suing Whoopi Goldberg and Cenk Uygur

Rittenhouse targeted Cenk Uygur, the Turkish-American commentator and presenter who created the channel, who is he claims “continues to call me a murderer”.

Neither ABC (The View‘s TV network) or The Young Turks responded so far but if Kyle Rittenhouse plans to sue both along with a number of other as-yet-unknown individuals and/or groups, this story is only likely to get bigger.
