More Bush songs are included in the second half of the season
Kate Bush has spoken about racing to the
top of the charts and the "very touching" moment her song was included in Netflix's
Stranger Things.
Bush has seen a revival in recent weeks largely down to
Stranger Things including her song in an episode. 'Running up that Hill' climbed the charts after it went viral, knocking off the likes of Lizzo, Eurovision's Sam Ryder and eventually the reigning supreme, Harry Styles.
Bush's song claimed the top spot in the UK singles charts on Friday, 37 years after it was released in 1985. It was also the singer's first number one in 44 years.
Speaking about Stranger Things, Bush told BBC 4's Woman's Hour on Wednesday: "It's such a great series. I thought that the track would get some attention. But I just never imagined that it would be anything like this."

She continued: "The Duffer brothers created the series and actually we watched it from the first series onwards, so I was already familiar with the series. And I thought what a lovely way for the song to be used in such a positive way.
"You know, as a kind of talisman almost really for Max. And yeah, I think it's very touching, actually."
Bush went on to say how "special" her new Stranger Things audience is to her.
"What’s really wonderful, I think, is this is a whole new audience who, in a lot of cases, they’ve never heard of me and I love that," she explained.
"The thought of all these really young people hearing the song for the first time and discovering it is, well, I think it’s very special."
The added attention has also come with a hefty payday for Bush, with media reports
speculating that she will make a "seven-figure sum" from 'Running Up That Hill', as she owns all the publishing and licensing rights.
"Given the traction of the song, Kate will easily be pulling in £250,000 a week and, if it keeps on the way it is, she’ll be laughing all the way to the bank," a source told
The Sun.
She also wrote the song, which means "nearly all" of the cash is going to her.
Stranger Things fans will be treated to more of Bush's classics in the final two film-length episodes that are set to be released on July 1.

Sitting down with Tudum, creator Matt Duffer explained: "There's an epic Kate Bush moment in the finale [Episode 9] that we weren't expecting, that we kind of discovered as we were editing."
Duffer said that the scene was "missing a little something" and naturally chose to throw another unnamed Kate Bush song in.
"And it just took it to this new height," he said. "It's arguably the most epic Kate Bush moment. It comes back in a major way."
With previous statements suggesting
multiple character deaths and
absolute "carnage",
Stranger Things season 4 volume 2 is set to be a banger.
