JOE is delighted to announce a new podcast series with James O’Brien

Unfiltered is coming soon... JOE has signed up renowned journalist, TV and LBC radio presenter James O’Brien to host its first ever podcast series, which will launch early next month. Titled Unfiltered with James O’Brien, the new weekly podcast will see O’Brien welcoming some of the biggest names in British life, figures from sport, politics, music, entertainment and popular culture, into JOE’s new purpose-built podcast studio in London, for a series of in-depth interviews. Each episode will be filmed and hosted in full on JOE’s YouTube channel, with shorter highlight clips shared across Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.

"Since accidentally becoming a viral hit after the EU referendum, I've been on a highly educational crash course in how new media companies and platforms are shaking up the industry," O'Brien said. "JOE is at the vanguard of this revolution and I can't wait to work with them on an interview series that will give guests more time & space to express themselves than they get anywhere else." JOE’s Head of Content, Evan Fanning said: James is quite simply the standout interviewer in Britain today. It’s hard to think of anyone in recent years who has even come close to developing a style as arresting and commanding as his. Whatever the subject matter, James has a special ability to cut through the bullshit and get to the real truth of the situation, and that is what makes Unfiltered such an exciting series.  We’ve been working on the concept for the show with him over the summer months and we think it’s going to be something really special.

Unfiltered with James O’Brien is the first of a series of new podcasts JOE will launch over the next few months.

The first episode of Unfiltered with James O’Brien will premiere in early October, and will be shared across all of JOE’s social channels, with a reach of over 10 million. JOE is also planning to launch a brand new football podcast with a host of high profile contributors, co-hosted by a current Premier League player to be revealed later this month.
