James Bond frontrunner Callum Turner, one of an elite list of actors reported by Deadline last week to be invited for final screen tests, may have dropped a major hint that he has been offered the title role in Denis Villeneuve's new production.
As reported by The Mail and the Sun, Turner has just left a film company he founded recently alongside his wife, the popstar Dua Lipa.
He resigned as a director of Twentytwo Films Ltd, which has been taken as a sign he may be planning to put full focus into his portrayal of film's best known spy character.
A source, close to Callum Turner, is reported to have told the Sun: "Callum is making all the right moves to become the next James Bond.
"The role is all-consuming and commitment to it is a top priority of the producers."
The studio responsible for producing the next James Bond movies are yet to provide any formal indication of who they would like to take over as Bond, however latest reports have suggested that Turner, alongside Josh O’Connor and Jack Lowden are frontrunners for the role.
A formal announcement is expected soon.
