The 33-year-old had been missing since last Wednesday and a suspect was arrested on suspicion of her murder earlier this week.

The chief suspect, an active Metropolitan police officer, was found unconscious in his cell yesterday after having suffered head injuries. He was initially arrested on suspicion of kidnapping and is also believed to have been arrested for a separate case of indecent exposure.

Everard, 33, had last been seen in Clapham at approximately 9pm last Wednesday, after leaving a friend's home in Leathwaite Road. It's understood that she spoke to her partner on the phone after leaving, with the call ending at 9.28pm.

The last known sighting of her came as the result of a doorbell camera in Clapham.
