Horned Capitol invader moved to prison that serves organic food

Jacob Chansley had reportedly not eaten for nine days

The man who stormed the US Capitol whilst wearing horns, fur and facepaint has been moved to a prison that serves organic food, after a federal judge ordered that he be held in a prison that meets his dietary requests.

It follows his attorney arguing that Jacob Chansley had gone nine days without eating, as he was not being served organic meals at the facility in Washington.

Jacob Anthony Chansley — a.k.a. Jake Angeli — describes himself as a QAnon digital warrior, a shaman, an ordained minister, a published author, a former YouTube personality and a Trump supporter.

He has now been moved to the Alexandria Detention Center in Virginia.

According to his attorney Albert Watkins, Chansley only eats organic food as part of his “shamanic belief system and way of life.”

Jacob Chansley was taken into custody on January 16th.

“He gets very sick if he doesn’t eat organic food – literally will get physically sick,” Chansley’s mother, Martha told press shortly after his arrest.

Chansley was part of the mob that forced its way into the US Capitol building on January 6th, an event that resulted in the deaths of five people.

He has been indicted on civil disorder, obstruction, disorderly conduct and other charges relating to actions on that day.

The FBI identified Chansley from photos of the mob by looking at his distinctive tattoos.

He told authorities that he travelled to Washington “at the request of the president that all ‘patriots’ come to D.C. on January 6.” It has also been reported that he wrote a threatening letter to Vice-President Mike Pence.
