He has agreed a deal worth more than double what he was getting at Tottenham

Harry Kane will reportedly fly to Germany today for a medical after Bayern Munich agreed a deal worth around £100m to sign the England captain.

Sky Sports reported Friday that Kane is waiting for permission from Tottenham to fly, with the Spurs said to making last minutes changes to the deal with Bayern.

Kane’s contract with Spurs expires next summer and became the top target for Bayern who had several bids rejected for the England captain, as they overtook Manchester United in the race to sign the forward.

Kane was said to have agreed terms after positive talks with the Bundesliga champions on Thursday evening, having remained quiet on his future plans.

The Sun reported that Spurs will receive an initial fee of £86m plus add-ons to round it up to £104m

Up until Thursday evening, it was believed Kane was keen to stay on at the North London club, but later agreed to make the switch, agreeing on personal terms.

The 30-year-old is understood to have agreed a four-year deal worth £415,000 a week – more than double his Tottenham earnings.

SunSport understands Bayern believe the transfer will be officially confirmed within 24 hours.

Kane had rejected a £400,000-a-week extension from Spurs earlier this summer.

Should he leave, Kane will do so as Spurs’ record goalscorer – he scored 280 goals in 435 games – after 19 years at the club. He joined aged 11.

It is expected Kane will be unveiled in a press conference at some point next week before Bayern’s opening Bundesliga game against Werder Bremen on Friday night, The Sun speculated.

Bayern made their first bid for Kane in June and Spurs chairman Daniel Levy rejected three offers from the German champions before accepting the fourth. They even went public in their pursuit of Kane, with Herbert Hainer, the chairman, acknowledging negotiations between all parties.

“Bayern always try to bring in stars,” Hainer told German football magazine, Kicker.

“Harry Kane is a highly attractive player, the England captain and a top scorer. He would do us and the Bundesliga good.”

Manchester City were ready to pay £127m to sign Kane in 2021 but Levy stood firm and rejected their offer.
