It may only be November, but Worthy Farm is calling
Glastonbury tickets go on sale this evening, and demand is expected to be as big as ever.
Arguably the hottest tickets in the country, it’s always a bun fight trying to get your hands on the piece of paper that will grant you access to the famous farm in Somerset for five days, from 25-29 June.
And with the festival taking a break for a fallow year in 2026, millions will be desperate to bag a ticket for next summer.
But, along with praying to the Worthy Farm gods, there are some things you can do to boost your chances of nabbing a ticket to Glastonbury 2025.
Here’s everything you need to know about the ticketing process.
When do tickets go on sale?
At 6pm on Thursday, November 14, Glastonbury tickets with coach travel will go on sale. Whilst many plan on taking so much stuff to the festival that a car is essential, if you can pack smart then coach travel is probably the best way to get to Worthy Farm.
Then, on Sunday, November 17, general admission tickets (those not including coach travel) go on sale at 9am.
Organisers are putting tickets with coach travel on sale first because they’re trying to discourage people from driving to the festival, therefore reducing their emissions and carbon footprint.
Some 28 towns and cities are served by coaches that will take you directly to the festival site, so there’s bound to be one near you. This also means you don’t have to navigate the Somerset roads yourself, you’ll avoid the huge car queues, and won’t have to drive back on Monday morning when you’re feeling a bit worse for wear.
Make sure you’ve got the right computer set-up
This year, there’s been a major change to the ticket booking process, with the introduction of an automatic queue system. This means everyone waiting on the Glastonbury ticketing page when they go on sale will be randomly assigned a queue place – so make sure you are already waiting on the page! Organisers recommend being on the page “at least a few minutes before the sale opens.”
Also, don’t bother opening multiple tabs. Organisers are cracking down on people trying to game the system, and have warned that anyone running “multiple devices or tabs simultaneously to attempt to access the website” could have their IP address blocked.
What you can do though is use your phone data alongside a second device on your wifi. If you’re using 4G/5G on your mobile, this will have a separate IP address, the Guardian reports. But again, only have one browser tab open.
Team up
The odds are stacked against everyone trying to get tickets. Glastonbury’s capacity is 210,000, but around two-and-a-half million people tried to purchase tickets.
Last year tickets sold out in less than an hour after they went on general release, and it was even shorter for the coach travel tickets, which sold out in 25 minutes.
So, a way to boost your chances is by forming a syndicate. You can buy up to six tickets in one go, so team up with people who also want tickets, and if any of you make it to the front they buy tickets for everyone.
Be warned though, to buy tickets for other people you will need their registration numbers and postcodes. You’ll only have 10 minutes to buy the tickets once you reach the front, so it’s pretty essential you have everyone else’s info ahead of time.
Also, make sure you have enough money in your account to buy the tickets.
How much will I need to pay?
Each ticket requires a deposit payment of £75 per ticket, plus the coach fare if it’s a coach ticket.
The coach fares range from £47 to £160 depending on location and whether it’s a single or a return.
The full price of Glastonbury tickets this year is £373.50 plus a £5 booking fee, but the ticket balance doesn’t need to be paid until the first week of April 2025.
Don’t give up
Patience will be required for this. Don’t refresh your page or close the window in a fit of rage. Hold firm, and see what happens.
If you do miss out on tickets in the coming days, there will be a second chance when the spring resale opens next year.

Good luck!
