It’s unconfirmed whether or not the ongoing police incident in Barking has any links to the London Bridge terror attack.
A raid taking place in Barking, east London, has reportedly seen five people arrested on Sunday morning.
Police arrived at a block of flats less than 12 hours after attacks on London Bridge and Borough Market claimed the lives of seven people and injured almost 50 others.
According to Telegraph reporter, Nicky Harley, the officers arrested five people at the scene.

A local resident claimed that one man was shot as he attempted to escape the raid.
“I saw them bringing them out of the flat opposite, around 7am,” Tara Milan told the Telegraph. “One man tried to flee and they shot him outside my house. They put him in an ambulance and then the others in a police van.”
Sky News has suggested that one of the houses raided belonged to one of the three suspects who were shot dead by armed officers during Saturday night’s attacks although that remains unconfirmed by the Metropolitan Police.

Another local resident, Ali Nabi, told the Telegraph about how the raid played out in Barking.
“I have lived here three years but never seen them before,” he said.
“I heard the police shouting ‘get down, get down’, I looked out of my window and they were laid on the floor. All Asian men in black religious robes. A woman was with them but later released.
“One was in his 50s, another had a white beard, the third was in his 30s and the fourth was younger. They were all laid down with their hands cuffed behind their backs. I think it was someone on the ground floor but I’ve never seen them.”
