100 stores are set to open in the UK with another coming to Ireland.
A Dutch fast food chain, which some have labelled as being “better than McDonald’s” is coming to the UK and Ireland.
Fat Phill’s will launch in Temple Bar, Dublin, in June, following the opening of their store at Clapham Junction in London at the end of 2024.
It was brought to the UK by Freshly Baked Ltd, the franchisor behind pretzel joint Auntie Anne’s UK and they have plans to open over 100 sites across the UK over the next ten years.
Several more Fat Phill sites are likely to roll out across Ireland by 2030.
The vast majority of Fat Phill’s menu is burgers, with customers able to triple any of the items as they please.
Their signature Double Cheeseburger is what they are best known for, meanwhile, the biggest item on the menu has to be the Big Belly, which is a quadruple cheeseburger served with crispy bacon.
They also have a Double Cheeseburger with glazed onions, grilled jalapeños, spicy mayo, and mustard called the Tamale Burger for those that love some spiceness. And if you’re more of a chicken burger lover, you can always switch out your filling using Nashville Hot chicken.
Many people online have sang the chain’s praises.
Food blogger By Row said: “I can confidently say that this restaurant beats out McDonald’s and KFC any day of the week.”
The London launch has already been praised with several five-star reviews, and has a 4.5 star rating on Google.
One person wrote: “Fantastic food! We tried the meaty burger, the Nashville fried chicken burger, loaded fries and mozzarella sticks. All amazing. Deffo recommend checking this place out if you need some fried goodness!”.
