Eye-witnesses at Manchester Arena report injuries as ambulances rush to scene

JOE

There are so many conflicting reports.

What we know is that there has been some form of ‘serious incident’ at Manchester Arena, on the night of an Ariana Grande concert.

Police have tweeted: ‘Emergency services responding to serious incident at Manchester Arena. Avoid the area. More details will follow as soon as available.’

We also know that rail routes into Victoria Station – which is connected to the Arena – have been halted. There are conflicting eye-witness reports about the incident itself. Some suggest there was one explosion, some state there were two. Phone videos show panic in the Arena as fans tried to exit en masse.

A significant number of ambulances have been called to the scene, and one Granada Reports journalist has stated that he has seen individuals with blood on their clothing. We must stress that there are a lot of fake reports circulating on social media so be careful to avoid them.

More as we get it.
