England players singing ‘Sweet Caroline’ on holiday is a joy to behold

Things you love to see.

It’s been a stressful month for football fans across the land. But any stress and nerves we have felt have been tiny in comparison to what the players must have gone through.

Everyone could see how devastated the England lads were at full time against Italy. No one was hurting more than them.

So it is absolutely wonderful and joyous to see them finally letting their hair down and having a bit of fun.

In a clip shared online, a few of the England players can be seen singing along to the song that soundtracked their heroics at Euro 2020: Sweet Caroline.

Luke Shaw, Mason Mount, Declan Rice and Kyle Walker look like they’re enjoying a much-needed and well deserved break, and when the Neil Diamond anthem came on, they clearly couldn’t resist singing along.

Led by a topless Walker, it’s a heartwarming scene. Whilst Shaw looks a little shy to begin with, Mount is living his best life. And they’re all in full song by the end.

People are loving the clip in the comments as well, pointing out how close all of Southgate’s squad clearly are.

One fan commented: “I love this. Such a close group of lads.”

Another wrote: “Love this … long hard non-stop season for all of the them and they deserve to have a blow out!! Good on them!!”

There was one thing that also caught the eye of many though. Declan Rice’s shirt.

One user said: “Can we all just look at Declan Rice’s shirt for a moment.”

A second commented: “Well deserved… But what the fuck is Rice wearing”

I think after the summer the West Ham man has had, he has the right to wear whatever he wants. He pulls it off if you ask me.
