A drug dealer who ran a smuggling operation from above a village shop has been jailed after he was caught cutting his stash on a ‘Ketflix and Pills’ chopping board.

Alexander Greening imported and dealt class A drugs from his flat in the picturesque Worcestershire village of Martley.

But his one-man criminal empire was busted when Border Force officials intercepted one of his packages and police raided his home.

Officers found drugs scattered across the 22-year-old’s chopping board – a play on the term ‘Netflix and Chill’ – when they stormed the flat above Martley Central Stores.

They also found drugs inside grip-sealed bags featuring Batman and naked woman logos stamped on them.

Greening was arrested and went on to admit a string of 10 drug charges – including the importation, supply and possession of class A drugs.

He was jailed for 32 months at Worcester Crown Court on February 7.

The court was told Greening’s offences involved eight different drugs which he imported and sold between April and August last year.

He pleaded guilty to importing Phenethylamine, Oxycodone and cocaine and possession of Ketamine, Diazepam and cocaine.

He also admitted possession with intent to supply MDMA, Psilocin and Eutylone.

Detective Inspector Dave Knight, of West Mercia Police, said after the case: “This was an investigation by South Worcestershire patrol officers who undertook a detailed investigation which culminated in a decent result in court.

“It doesn’t matter where you get the drugs from.

“It doesn’t matter where you are with the drugs – you have got to be lucky every time. We have to be lucky once.

“We work with other police forces and with Border Force, to stem the flow of drugs into Britain and across county lines.

“Peddling drugs is inherently risky as is using drugs that have not been tested.

“In South Worcestershire we have a solid support network in place for drug users and we can signpost as and when required.

“Drugs dealers will be signposted to the prison service.”
