The maker of popular ale Doom Bar is set to be shut down by its US owners.
Well-known beer makers, Sharp's Brewery based in Rock, Cornwall, is set to close its doors as per an announcement by its American owners Molson Coors Beverage Company.
The brewery is well known for its beers, including pub and supermarket staple Doom Bar, a drink which is the UK's best-selling cask ale.

It comes as the multi-national beer giant Molson Coors announced proposals today to close the Sharp's Brewery by the end of 2026, potentially leading to 50 redundancies.
The Molson Coors company owns the likes of Coors, Carling, Madri and Cobra.
Currently the proposal is subject to consultation with the goal of reshaping "the UK&I business to unlock efficiencies and cost-savings to fuel the company’s long-term growth".
Molson Coors Beverage Company says the proposals could result in around 200 redundancies from across the business.
Over £20m has been invested into Sharp's Brewery since 2011 to expand capacity, upgrade equipment and support innovation and strengthen the brewery's portfolio.
Molson Coors Beverage Company say the proposal to close the brewery comes only after exploring every alternative option to make the site financially sustainable in the long term.
