Donald Trump suggests coronavirus was created to help Joe Biden win the election

Twitter recently updated its unverified content warning, stating Joe Biden won the election

Donald Trump has shared a video on his Twitter account that suggests that Covid-19 was created to make him lose the election.

The President retweeted the video from an anonymous account with the handle @a17time on Sunday.

The video, entitled ‘How to steal an election’, claims that the virus was imported into America as part of a plan that also includes vote-rigging software and mail-in voting.

“Start with a virus, import it into America, talk about it nonstop, call some governors, put patients into nursing homes, kill thousands, blame the president, keep blaming, blame some more,” says a rambling narrator, while an instramental version of Jay-Z and Kanye West’s ‘No Church In the Wild’ plays.

“Lockdown small business, kill the economy, push mail-in voting, stoke a race war, call for violence,” it continues.

“Pick a candidate, no, not her,” it says over video of Tulsi Gabbard, before cutting to Joe Biden saying “Yes, that’s more like him.”

It then goes on to repeat similar claims about election fraud that Trump has been making since the election, most of which have been debunked.

The video has been flagged by Twitter as containing disputed claims about election fraud.

Last week, the US Electoral College decisively declared Joe Biden as the next president of the United States of America, ratifying his election victory.

Biden received 306 electoral votes to Trump’s 232.

Twitter has now updated its label used to flag unverified content, statingthat  Joe Biden is the President-Elect.

“Election officials have certified Joe Biden as the winner of the US Presidential election,” the label now reads.

“Following certification of the results of the 2020 US Presidential Election, we’ve updated our label to reflect the latest information,” a Twitter spokesperson told CNN.
