Donald Trump mistakes a woman from the UK for his daughter Ivanka

RIP her mentions

RIP her mentions…

A woman from Brighton, in England is probably waking up this morning wondering why she has about 10,000 notifications on her phone.

The reason is that Donald Trump mistakenly singled her out as his daughter in a tweet last night.

The President-elect quoted a tweet sent in praising his daughter, describing Ivanka as “a woman with real character and class” late on Monday.

However, the original tweet from user Lawrence Goldstein used @Ivanka rather than the correct @IvankaTrump, which was then retweeted by President-elect Trump.

So instead of his shoutout to his daughter, Trump tweeted his approval for Ivanka Majic, a council worker from Brighton.

His mistake was pointed out by Distractify writer Mark Pygas:

At the time of writing, Trump had not yet deleted the tweet which means that Ivanka Majic’s notifications are probably still going through the roof.

We’re sure she’ll enjoy her moment in the spotlight…
