Donald Trump Jr sells t-shirts mocking Alec Baldwin for shooting

‘Guns don’t kill people, Alec Baldwin kills people’

Donald Trump Jr has started selling t-shirts mocking Alec Baldwin after the actor fatally shot cinematographer Halyna Hutchins in an on-set accident last week.

Trump Jr shared pictures on his Instagram account of t-shirts with the phrase “Guns don’t kill people, Alec Baldwin kills people” written on them alongside a link to his website selling them for $27.99.

Another picture on his story showed a photoshopped image of the actor with the same phrase written on his t-shirt.

Since the news broke of the shooting on Thursday (October 21), Trump Jr has shared a number of posts on his account mocking Baldwin.

On Sunday, he shared a meme that said: “Let’s all watch Alec Baldwin blame the gun.”

The posts all seem to be in relation to Trump’s pro-gun stance, with another one showing a picture of Baldwin with the phrase “That look when an anti-gun nut kills more people with a gun than your extensive firearm collection ever has…” written below.

In the tragic accident, Baldwin “discharged” a loaded prop gun on the set of his new movie Rust, killing cinematographer Halyna Hutchins and injuring director Joel Souza.

Hutchins was pronounced dead after being transported to the University of New Mexico Hospital via helicopter.

Baldwin has been in touch with her family and said in a statement afterwards that he was “heartbroken”.

In a new affidavit released on Sunday (October 24), the actor was said to be “hysterical and absolutely inconsolable for hours” after the accident, which occurred as he was practicing drawing the prop gun across his chest and pointing it at the camera.

He had apparently been told that the gun was “cold,” meaning that it was not loaded.

Along with his appearances in shows such as 30 Rock, Baldwin has become famous for his portrayal of former president Donald Trump on sketch comedy show Saturday Night Live.
