David Hasselhoff has paid tribute to his former wife and fellow Baywatch star Pamela Bach after she died aged 62.
Officials in Los Angeles announced Bach was found dead at her home in the Hollywood Hills on March 5.
The LA Medical Examiner's office said that the actress died by suicide, the BBC reports.
The 62-year-old is survived by her two daughters - Hayley, 32, and Taylor, 34, who she shares with Hasselhoff.
Now Hasselhoff has shared his heartbreak over his ex-wife's death in a short statement.
He said: "Our family is deeply saddened by the recent passing of Pamela Hasselhoff.
"We are grateful for the outpouring of love and support during this difficult time but we kindly request privacy as we grieve and navigate through this challenging time."
The pair met on the set of Hasselhoff's hit show Knight Rider in 1985, while he was starring as Michael Knight in the crime drama series.
The pair married a few years later in December 1989 and went on to welcome two daughters before splitting up in 2006.
Hasselhoff cited irreconcilable differences as the reasoning for their divorce, which was finalised in August that year.
He and Bach were each given custody of one of their children, before Hasselhoff was later awarded custody of them both.
In a post on Instagram, Hayley shared a picture of her parents with a white star in what appeared to be a tribute to her late mother.
Bach also starred on CBS drama The Young and the Restless, which is where Hasselhoff first gained recognition in the acting world while taking on the role of Dr Snapper Foster.
She also enjoyed roles in Cheers, The Fall Guy, TJ Hooker, Superboy and Viper.
Heartbreakingly, on New Year's Eve, Bach shared a social media post speaking of her excitement for the year ahead.
She referred to her granddaughter as 'lighting up her world' and being the 'greatest blessing'.
She said: "May 2025 be filled with beautiful moments, laughter, and all the blessings your hearts can hold.
"Here's to a year of making cherished memories, spreading joy, and embracing every precious moment!"
