Seven police officers were called to the scene to move crowds along

A fish and chip shop owner who celebrated the Queen’s death on Thursday by spraying champagne and dancing outside her chippie was reportedly pelted with eggs by an angry crowd.

Jacki Pickett, owner of Jaki Fish and Chip Shop, posted a video of herself on social media holding a sign saying, “Lizard Liz Dead” and ” London Bridge has Fallen.”

The Press and Journal reported that a large crowd of unhappy people then gathered outside the anti-monarchist’s shop in the village of Muir of Ord in the Scottish Highlands.

Police were later called to move the crowd along and the business was closed. Pickett was also reportedly driven home by police as onlookers booed loudly.

A police spokesman said: “Seven officers were called to an incident to disperse a crowd outside Jaki Fish Shop in Muir of Ord.”

They added there was no evidence a crime had been committed.

The Journal reported that the abuse continued after Pickett left, with people vowing to run her out of the town in the coming weeks.

One person said online: “How dare this company cheer the death of Our Queen! Absolute disgrace of a human!

“However, thank you for paying Queen Lizzie’s Taxes from your horrific chippy!

“I guarantee you this place will be boycotted and you will be claiming the King’s Money on benefits, will you accept it or decline it?

“You are a disgrace of a human and all those who support this business should be ashamed of celebrating the death of a great-grandmother, grandmother, a mother and the leader of our great nation!”

Another person said: “Me thinks Jaki fish and chips will not be in business for much you longer disrespectful low life.”

Pickett appears to have now deleted the video from her Facebook page, but it is continuing to circulate on social media.

The video was reportedly  posted shortly after Buckingham Palace confirmed the Queen’s death, aged 96, around 6.30pm.

Her Majesty died peacefully at Balmoral on Thursday afternoon.
