A celebrity who asked the UK's High Court to "permanently prevent" two news organisations from publishing his identity, as well as reported allegations of sexual misconduct, has lost his case, according to information reported by BBC News.
The court is reported to have said that the man's attempt to secure an injunction was denied, however he is to remain anonymous for the time being.
This is because the judge has imposed a "temporary injunction, " according to reports, that will prevent his identity from being revealed, and the publication of details of the aforementioned allegations.
The temporary injunction is intended to allow the man time to appeal against today's decision.
"Anonymity and reporting restrictions remain in force during the period allowed for any appeal," per the BBC.
Publications ITN and the Guardian are reported to have said that: "They believe it is in the public interest to publish allegations that the man abused his status to engage, or attempt to engage, in 'inappropriate sexual activities with a large number of girls and young women.'"
The man denies the allegations and has said that publication would have a severe impact upon his mental health.
Per reports, the man has until the 9th of November to formally submit an appeal.
