The Doctor Strange star has responded to the so-called ‘petition’ for him to replace Heard
Bruce Campbell has responded to a “petition” for him to replacer Amber Heard in the next Aquaman movie.
On Wednesday it was announced that Johnny Depp had won against Heard in the multi-million pound defamation case. The jury also found that Heard had been defamed, and was awarded $2m, but she has been left with an $8.35 million damages bill.
Some believe Heard’s career is now in jeopardy, with one US journalist branding her “unemployable”.

This has left some film fanatics wondering who else could star in the upcoming Aquaman sequel if Heard is not chosen – and Bruce Campbell’s name has made a surprising appearance, indy100 reports.
The 63-year-old actor starred in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, though he is best known for playing Ash Williams in Sam Raimi’s Evil Dead films.
A post on Twitter read: “Petition to replace Amber Heard in Aquaman 2 with Bruce Campbell reaches 3 million”. Though the post is thought to be a joke as the so-called “petition” remains to be seen.
Despite this, Bruce Campbell seems fairly up for the challenge.
“Send me the script,” he responded, quoting the Tweet and already racking up over 200,000 likes.

As scepticism surrounding Heard’s career continues, it seems many believe Depp will, in contrast, make a comeback.
Speaking to LA-based entertainment correspondent Sam Rubin, Karl Stefanovic, who hosts the Today show, said: “I mean, you can’t imagine him going and working for Disney tomorrow, given the admissions he made about his own substance abuse. But you have to imagine also there’s going to be [career] possibilities for him down the track; whereas for Amber, it’s going to be difficult.
“Effectively, the jury came back with a verdict that she defamed him, that she did lie. That is, at the end of the day, something that she can’t deny… [It] is very difficult for her to get over that.”
Depp has said he has his “life back” after the jury ruled in his favour. Heard said she was “heartbroken” and said the decision was “a setback” for women.
Heard’s team have since confirmed she has plans to appeal the case.
