BBC presenter Gabby Roslin says Paul O’Grady’s ghost is ‘haunting’ her

“He always said he was going to haunt everyone.”

BBC presenter Gabby Roslin has claimed that the late Paul O’Grady is ‘haunting’ her.

O’Grady first rose to fame as drag queen Lily Savage, and went on to have an illustrious TV career, including The Paul O’Grady Show and For the Love of Dogs.

Roslin was close friends with the star, who passed away one year ago today (March 28) aged 67.

The Morning Live presenter revealed that she thinks O’Grady is “keep[ing] an eye on us all”.

“I got a new show recently,” she said, via the Daily Star.

“I’d always ring Savage to discuss new shows – I always called him Savage – so I went to call him. But then I had that split second where you think ‘Oh no, I can’t’. But I know that he’s haunting me.

“He always said he was going to haunt everyone – that he was going to come back and keep an eye on us all. He knew how much we loved him because at the end of every phone call I’d go, ‘Oh my God, you know how much I love you,’ and he’d go, ‘You know I love you too. Now f*** off’.”

Roslin first met O’Grady while hosting Channel 4’s The Big Breakfast, when Paul appeared as Lily.
