“We’re going back home and we’re gonna try and make our baby as comfortable as possible.”

Ex on the Beach star Ashley Cain has given a heartbreaking update on his daughter’s health one month after announcing that her leukaemia had returned. In an emotional Instagram video, the reality star revealed that his daughter Azaylia Diamond now has cancerous tumours throughout her body. Initially, doctors discussed the possibility of radiotherapy, but Cain revealed that the sheer volume of tumours makes further treatment difficult. Azaylia will be 8 months old on Saturday.

The devastating news comes just days after Cain revealed that the family had plans to travel to Singapore for CAR T-cell therapy, this is no longer feasible given the discovery of the tumours.

“So, that means we’re going back home. We’re going back home and we’re gonna try and make our baby as comfortable as possible,” Cain said. “We’re gonna be strong, and we’re gonna go out with honour.”

The reality TV star first shared the heartbreaking news of his daughter’s leukaemia back in October, revealing she had a “rare and aggressive form of cancer.”

A GoFundMe was set up for Azaylia’s treatment at the time, the message reads:

“Our beautiful daughter Azaylia Diamond Cain was just eight weeks old when we got the heartbreaking news that she had been diagnosed with AML Leukaemia. On diagnosis Azaylia had a frighteningly high leukaemia count plus tumours in her spleen, stomach, lungs and kidneys which put her in critical condition and resulted in her being put into intensive care. The doctors warned us that there was a high probability that she wouldn’t survive past the first round of chemotherapy due to the aggressiveness and rareness of her disease combined with her age.”

Our thoughts and prayers are with the family during this difficult time.
