Arsenal are set to complete the signing of highly sought-after defender Riccardo Calafiori.
Following his impressive Euro 2024 performances with Italy, the Gunners expressed a serious interest and now talks are all but completed between Bologna and Mikel Arteta's men.
Calafiori previously played an integral part in the Italian outfit's impressive Champions League qualification campaign under Thiago Motta.
Since then, Motta has departed to Juventus and fellow teammate Joshua Zirkzee has left for the Premier League too with Manchester United.
The next out of the door is Calafiori with a fee agreed between the two clubs believed to be around £42million.
As per David Ornstein all agreements are now in place with a deal "essentially done".
The aim is for the Italian international to link up with Arsenal on the USA tour.
Many fans believe Arteta will utilise the dynamic defender as a left-back alongside an already formidable partnership of Gabriel Magalhães, William Saliba and Ben White.
Good luck scoring past these next season.
