Ariana Grande releases heartfelt statement to the victims of the Manchester attack

The singer has promised to return to perform a benefit gig

In the aftermath of the Manchester attack, performer Ariana Grande has been held at the centre of attention.

While ill-timed think-pieces raged on about Grande in light of the attack, she tweeted once in the immediacy of the bombing:

Following the Manchester attack, Grande cancelled gigs in London, Lodz, Antwerp, Frankfurt and Zurich. which were due to take place last week and next week.

Since then, she reportedly returned to her home in Florida, but today wrote an emotional letter to the people of Manchester, and vowed that when the city was ready, she would return for a benefit gig:
