He is just one of several celebrities affected by the raging fires

Anthony Hopkins has tragically lost his home in the devastating California wildfires that have swept across LA.

The legendary actor, 87, is just one of a growing list of celebrities who have lost their homes as the blaze continues to rage.

Over 130,000 residents are now under evacuation orders across the State and numerous Hollywood stars have been affected.

Hopkins, who purchased a stunning four-bedroom, five-bathroom home in the Pacific Palisades area for $6 million in 2021, saw his property destroyed by the flames.

Photos reveal the charred remains of the classic colonial home, with just a scorched fence standing as the only trace of what was once a gorgeous property.

The house was supposed to be a fresh start for the Oscar-winning actor, who had sold his long-time Malibu oceanfront place for $10.5 million—more than double what he paid for it back in 2001.

It is not the first time Hopkins has faced the devastating consequences of a fire. In November 2018, he had to flee his home which was threatened by the Woolsey fire.

His house narrowly escaped but his neighbour’s was burnt to the ground.

Back in 2000, his London property was also destroyed by a fire whilst he was away in LA.

Actors Adam Brody and Leighton Meester’s $7 million mansion is among the 1,000 structures which have been destroyed due to the wildfires.

The couple purchased the five bedroom home in 2019, but pictures show the property now engulfed in flames.

Meanwhile, actress Anna Faris’ $5 million eco-friendly abode was totally decimated by the blaze.

Former talk show host Ricki Lake also shared an emotional post mourning the ‘immeasurable’ loss of her ‘dream home’.

The 56-year-old bought the property back in 2014. She and husband Ross Sussman tied the knot there in their backyard just three years ago.
