Ant and Dec, Simon Cowell rush to aid collapsed Britain’s Got Talent contestant

Drama struck the Britain's Got Talent stage when a young man collapsed on stage mid-audition.

Currently known only as Luke, the 20-year-old fainted during a performance of Frank Sinatra's 'My Way'. According to The Sun, judge Simon Cowell rushed to the stage to aid the young man, followed swiftly by hosts Ant and Dec. Photo: Tim P. Whitby / Getty Images Luke was singing the classic track with his mum Mary, 52. An audience member told The Sun:

“His grandad died that day and combined with the stress of auditions, it really got to him. "It was incredibly scary. Luke was singing with his mum and suddenly he just fell. All of the judges jumped to their feet, and Simon rushed on stage. Luke’s mum was cradling him in her arms. "They were the last act of the night and Simon thanked the audience for being compassionate."

Thankfully Luke was alright. Paramedics checked him over and gave him the all-clear, telling the young man to rest. Britain's Got Talent will return to our screens this year.
