Amber Heard has claimed Johnny Depp once performed a “cavity search” on her in an attempt to find cocaine.

The 36-year-old took the stand on Wednesday as part of the defamation trial between her and Depp.

She became visibly emotional as she recalled the alleged incident.

Heard testified that she and Depp were having a “party in the desert” with some friends and that one of them “brought MDMA.”

She told the court that a woman at the party put her “head on my shoulder,” causing Depp to become upset.

According to Heard, Depp said “you think you’re touching my f****** girl? That’s my f****** girl.”

The couple then headed back to their trailer, where Depp “turned his anger on the trailer” and began “looking for something.”

Heard testified that Depp then turned to her and asked: “Where are you hiding it?”

She told the court: “He’s grabbing my breasts, he’s touching my thighs, he rips my underwear off.

“And then, he precedes to do a cavity search. He said he was looking for his drugs, his cocaine.”

Fighting back tears and pausing on several occasions to compose herself, Heard continued: “I was wondering how someone who didn’t do cocaine and was against it … why would I hide his drugs from him? He was insinuating that I was doing it or something, it made no sense.”

She recalled how Depp told her “We’re going to conduct a cavity search shall we,” before he “shoved his fingers inside me.”

“I just stood there, staring at the stupid light,” she said. “I didn’t know what to do, I just stood there.”

This is the second time the allegations have come up in the trial.

On Tuesday, psychologist Dr Dawn Hughes mentioned the same incident in her testimony. Dr Hughes also told the court that Depp would force Heard to “give him oral sex when he was angry.”

Dr Hughes spoke to Heard over almost 30 hours of appointments, and said that in her opinion the actress had suffered from post traumatic stress disorder as a result of the alleged abuse she experienced at the hands of Depp.

As part of her testimony on Wednesday, Heard also told the court that Depp would strike her in drug and alcohol-fuelled rages.

She claimed the first incident of violence took place in 2012 when she laughed at one of his tattoos.

Heard will continue her testimony on Thursday.

Depp is currently suing his former wife for defamation over an op-ed she wrote in 2018 in which she discussed the subject of domestic abuse.

Depp and his lawyers argue that the Washington Post piece falsely implies that Heard was physically and sexually abused by Depp while they were married from 2015 to 2017. He is seeking $50m in damages.

Heard is in turn suing her former husband, accusing him of orchestrating a “smear campaign” against her and labelling his lawsuit as a continuation of “abuse and harassment.”
