Another man is also critically injured after a drive-by shooting.

A 28-year-old woman was killed yesterday after being stabbed in Willesden Green during the early hours of the morning.

Police have arrested a man in his 40s who is believed to have known the victim.

It has also been reported that there was a drive-by shooting in the same Brent area of north-west London on Thursday night.

A man in his 20s was the victim of what is believed to have been machine gun fire and remains in critical condition after being found with multiple gunshot wounds in Harlesden.

According to the Express, a local witness said: “Apparently a car pulled up alongside him while he was sitting in his car and he was shot eight times. We think it was a machine gun as it happened quickly.”

Another witness added: “I heard about 15 shots. They were in quick succession.”

Later on Thursday evening the police were also called to a stabbing in Neasden. A 26-year-old male was found with serious injuries. There were two other victims of knife attacks later that night, as a 23-year-old man in Deptford in south-east London, and a 30-year-old man on the Old Kent Road were both stabbed.

All of the attacks occurred within the space of 24 hours.

Superintendent Tim Alexander of the Metropolitan Police said: “I would like to reassure people that we remain a safe and vibrant borough that rarely sees incidents of such violence.

“My officers are working around the clock to identify, locate and apprehend those responsible.”
