Iconic moment Amy Winehouse called Kanye West a “c*nt” resurfaces on social media

The late Winehouses’ comments came during her 2008 performance at Glastonbury.

A clip of Amy Winehouse referring to Kanye West as a “c*nt” has gone viral online as the 47-year-old rapper finds himself amid controversy yet again.

West, also known as Ye, recently took to X and posted a series of offensive and antisemitic posts.

His tirade came after he had attended last week’s Grammys with his almost-naked wife Bianca Censori.

West’s posts included him confessing his “love” for Adolf Hitler, as well as calling himself a Nazi.

He also uploaded a t-shirt with a swastika on it for sale to his website, which has since been taken down.

Friends actor David Schwimmer called for West to be banned from the social media platform, saying in an Instagram post: “His sick hate speech results in REAL LIFE violence against Jews.”

It is not the first time that West has been hit with the antisemitic label and has previously issued apologies to the Jewish community following similarly offensive comments that he made back in 2022.

Now, a clip of Amy Winehouse – who passed away in 2011 – calling out West from her 2008 set at Glastonbury has resurfaced online, with many fans praising her.

While performing her song Some Unholy War, the then 24-year-old singer added her own choice words for the rapper.

In her signature voice, she sang, “At least I’m not opening for a c*nt like Kanye.”

Model Cara Delevigne added the video to her Instagram story with the caption: “Amy Winehouse hating Kanye West is my favourite thing.”

Several of Winehouse’s fans took to X to post the clip, with one saying: “Amy Winehouse was so real for this and ahead of her time in her hatred for Kanye West.”

Another fan wrote: “She was so magical. I miss her so much. She was also right about Kanye.”
