DJ Andy Burnham is going to be DJing in Manchester next month, and it isn’t for the first time.

The Greater Manchester Mayor will be heading down to Ramona in the city’s buzzy Ancoats neighbourhood to play a set full of Manchester classics on Wednesday, August 3.

While he’s yet to headline Parklife, the 52-year-old is certainly no novice when it comes to spinning discs. He has previously performed a set at the original Jimmy’s establishment in Manchester’s famous Northern Quarter.

Many will have also tuned into the mayor’s livestream DJ battle against Liverpool’s former mayor, Steve Rotherham, in lockdown.

Announcing the news, Ramona, the lively bar and pizza place where Burnham will be performing, wrote: “Yes the mayor! He swings in for pizza quite a bit so we asked him if he fancied Djing, He said…He’d absolutely love to!

“Expect lots of New Order, Manchester classics and 90s summer Jams. Bring the party Andy Burnahm you got this.”
