Tragic: Britain's Got Talent star Pudsey the dog has to be put down

Sadly, it has emerged that Pudsey the dog has had to be put down.

The Britain's Got Talent star was a Border Collie, Bichon Frise and Chinese Crested cross and was aged 11. https://twitter.com/OfficialPudsey/status/878629710128975872 He found fame as a contestant on the sixth series of the hugely popular reality TV talent show, winning the contest with his owner Ashleigh Jade Butler in May 2012. They were the first ever dog trick act to win the competition. On Friday, now 22-year-old Ashleigh took to Instagram to share the sad news.

She wrote: "I can't honestly believe I am writing these words. My handsome man has gone, and I don't know what to do without him.

"My heart is broken, and I don't know how I'm going to get through this. It hurts so much, that my handsome, incredible Pudsey Bear will never be by my side, where he belongs, again."

Pudsey was suffering from acute leukaemia and was with Ashleigh as he passed.
