Tom Cruise is ‘extremely interested’ in pursuing relationship with Shakira – reports

The pair were seen together in Miami this weekend at the Formula 1 Grand Prix, sparking speculation that they could be more than just friends.

An insider told Page Six that the A-list actor, 60, "is extremely interested in pursuing'" a relationship with the Colombian singer, 46, as "there is chemistry" between them.

The South American songstress, whose full name is Shakira Isabel Mebarak Ripoll, parted ways with longtime love Gerard Piqué, 36, last summer amid allegations he had cheated on her with the woman he wound up dating following the split, Clara Chia Marti, 24.

The source said Shakiri "needs a soft pillow to fall on, and that could be Tom", describing the Mission Impossible actor as a "nice-looking guy, and talented".

Cruise is rumoured to have sent flowers to the pop legend after they crossed paths at the auto racing event in South Florida Sunday.

The pair were seen chatting on the starting grid of the race and in a private hospitality suite.

Shakira is mother to kids Milan, 10, and Sasha, eight, with Pique following their 12-year romance.

Cruise is father to three kids: Isabella, 30, and Connor, 28, with ex-wife Nicole Kidman; and Suri, 17, with ex-wife Katie Holmes.

Cruise was in the headlines this weekend after was named the winner for Best Performance in a Movie for Top Gun: Maverick at Sunday's MTV Movie Awards.

He was nominated against Austin Butler (Elvis), Florence Pugh (Don’t Worry Darling), KeKe Palmer (Nope) and Michael B. Jordan (Creed III).

Cruise showed off his trademark showmanship as he delivered his acceptance speech from the air in a jet.

"Hi, everyone, thank you so much for this award," Cruise said. "I make these films for you. I love you. I love entertaining you. How much you enjoy it, how much you appreciate it. There is no better feeling and I hope you enjoy this."
