Ephemeral COO Joshua Sakhai tells Tech Insider that his team started working on their new formula for ink back in August of 2014 and has gone through “countless iterations” in order to perfect it.
Several tests have been done of living organisms, although the Ephemeral team is reluctant to disclose what exactly is meant by "organism" on its webpage.
"We've undergone strenuous studies, tests, and iterations to ensure that none of the organisms get hurt throughout the study."He went on to add:
"We can't confidently promise anything until we actually observe it."
On the Ephemeral tattoo site, a short blurb reads:
"Tattoos have become the icon of self-expression and body art. However, even though tattoo popularity has explosively grown, there are still millions of people that aren’t getting tattoos because they demand a lifetime commitment."The future of tattoo removal could be one of no pain, no scarring and no hidden costs. But it also means getting a tattoo is not longer a permanent rebellious statement. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R3LQ7gMN2JA
